MMAJunkie reports The Ultimate Fighter Season 12 Episode 1 scored a 1.3 household rating with an average of 1.6 million viewers, and was the top-ranked show on cable with males ages 18 to 49.

This is a big drop from last Season 11's premier which landed a 1.8 household rating and an average of 1.9 million viewers.

Viewership has been declining for The Ultimate Fighter since the tenth season which drew a 2.9 rating for its premiere; the highest rating the show has ever done, beating the previous TUF high of 2.8.

That season featured internet sensation Kimbo Slice while last season featured Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz.

Can we assume that few are interested with Georges St-Pierre, Josh Koscheck and lightweight fighters?
